FIVE BABY ROBINS PLAY
Performed By Grade 1D

 

In connection with our study of SPRING and BIRDS, the children participated in some Readers' Theatre.  The children were very excited about being involved in the "Five Baby Robins" play.  They, not only wanted to learn the script and perform the play, they also wanted to ensure that they had "props" and a "stage" on which to perform the play.  After preparing for several weeks, the children invited their families to the performance.

 

STAGE ONE
 The children practice the script so that they are familiar enough to perform without their books.


STAGE TWO
 The children prepared the props (worms, headband, beaks, etc) that they needed to perform the play.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

1.   Construction Paper
2.   Coloured Paper
3.   Feathers
4.  Worm Tracer
5.   Paint (to paint
      worm)
6.   Cotton (to stuff
      worm)

STAGE THREE
 
Rehearsal, rehearsal, rehearsal...The children practiced daily so that they would be ready for the day of the performance.

STAGE FOUR
 
Performance Day!!  The children invited their families to come to the performance.
